Pronunciation & Spelling
Words ending in '-sonal' (personal, interpersonal) share the exact same sound as impersonal; they all rhyme. Words such as 'external' and 'internal' look similar due to the '-al' suffix and similar stress, but do not rhyme because the consonant after the stressed vowel differs (/n/ vs /s/). The prefix 'im-' appears in 'impulsive' and 'immature', but their stressed vowels and endings are different.
