Pronunciation & Spelling
Only lavish is a true rhyme with ravish (/ˈrævɪʃ/ vs /ˈlævɪʃ/). Slavish and peevish look alike and share the -vish spelling and final /vɪʃ/ sound, but their vowel sounds differ (/sleɪvɪʃ/ and /piːvɪʃ/), so they do not rhyme. Vanish has the same stressed /æ/ and -ish ending but uses /n/ before the ending, so it only resembles the sound, not a true rhyme.
