Pronunciation & Spelling
Words ending in '-icle' with IPA /ɪkəl/ (article, icicle, chronicle) rhyme with particle. 'Vehicle' also ends in '-icle' but is pronounced /ˈviːəkəl/ with a schwa in the final syllable, so it does not rhyme exactly. 'Miracle' and 'obstacle' end in '-acle' with /əkəl/, also differing from the /ɪkəl/ rhyme.
