Pronunciation & Spelling
These words all end in the spelling -logue, and in BrE their final syllable is pronounced /lɒɡ/. However, none is a true rhyme of monologue /ˈmɒnəlɒɡ/ because the stressed vowel in the first syllable differs (monologue has /ɒ/, while the others have /aɪ/, /æ/, /e/, or /əʊ/). Treat them as useful lookalikes, not as rhyming words.
