发音与拼写Pronunciation & Spelling
No common word rhymes with idiom (/ˈɪdiəm/). Medium, tedium, sodium, and stadium share the final unstressed sound /diəm/ (written -ium), but their stressed vowels differ, so they are not rhymes. Phantom /ˈfæntəm/ has the same final spelling -om and a matching final /əm/, but the rest of the word is different. Idiot /ˈɪdiət/ looks very similar at the start but ends with /ət/, not /əm/.
