Code, mode, and node have the same final /oʊd/ sound despite the -ode spelling. These are not exact rhymes because download is stressed on the first syllable. Beware lookalikes: 'down' is /daʊn/, not 'dawn' /dɔːn/, and the end of 'download' sounds like 'load', not 'loud' /laʊd/.
