Words like apposite, composite and requisite end in written -site but have final /zɪt/ (voiced z); deposit and visit end in -posit/-sit and also have /zɪt/. Be careful: appetite looks similar but is pronounced /ˈæpɪtaɪt/ (final /aɪt/).
