Context & Register
语域:neutral 常见场景:corporate offices、government agencies、formal documents 这里分析的是「行政的;管理层的」这一常用义项。其语气中性,多用于商务、政府和行政管理等正式场景,也常见于职位头衔。
Pronunciation & Spelling
All these words end in -tive and /tɪv/. Consecutive is the closest match: the stressed /sɛk/~/zɛk/ and the following /tɪv/ are similar, but the vowel between is usually /jə/ in consecutive instead of /jʊ/ in executive, so it is a near rhyme, not a perfect rhyme. Diminutive shares the spelling -utive but has a different stressed vowel, so it does not rhyme. Active, positive, negative, and relative only share the final /tɪv/; their stressed vowels and preceding sounds differ, so they are lookalikes for spelling rather than rhymes.
