These words all end in the letters '-case' and pronounce that final part /keɪs/. In compound words (suitcase, pillowcase, showcase, staircase, briefcase) the stress falls on the first part, so they do not rhyme exactly with the single word case /keɪs/, but the '-case' suffix sounds identical. Beware lookalikes: cassette /kəˈset/ and castle /ˈkæs.əl/ have different pronunciations.
