None of these words rhymes exactly with affirmative (/əˈfɜːmətɪv/). Negative, positive, and relative end in /ətɪv/ but stress a different vowel earlier in the word. Alternative shares /ɜː/ and the final /ətɪv/, but uses /n/ instead of /m/. Informative also ends in -mative but has /ɔː/, not /ɜː/. Conservative has /ɜːvətɪv/, not /mətɪv/.
