汉语用“有”表达年龄，但英语用 be 动词（am/is/are）加岁数，不能用 have。所以应说 I am thirteen years old。

数词作定语修饰名词时，要用连字符构成复合形容词，且 year 用单数：thirteen-year-old。不能写成 thirteen years old。
易错句子Today is my thirteen birthday.正确表达Today is my thirteenth birthday.
表示第几个生日要用序数词 thirteenth，不能用基数词 thirteen。序数词常与 my/his 等所有格连用表示“第几个……”。
